EUROPEAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS (ETO)

Eighth Air Force: VIII Ground Air Support Command at Membury, England is
redesignated VIII Air Support Command.

Twelfth Air Force: 12 British units--signal, observer, radar, and air
warning--are attached to the XII Fighter Command in the UK. Colonel Rosenham
R Beam becomes Commanding Officer XII Ground Air Support Command.
