EUROPEAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS

STRATEGIC OPERATIONS (Eighth Air Force): The 369th Fighter Squadron, 359th
Fighter Group, arrives at East Wretham, England from the US with P-47's. The
squadron will fly it's first mission on 13 Dec 43.

TACTICAL OPERATIONS (Ninth Air Force): 228 B-26's dispatched to bomb 4
airfields in France are recalled before attacking because of unfavorable
weather. Major General Elwood R "Pete" Quesada becomes Commanding General
of the IX Fighter Command.
