Almost everything in the Living Room was bought at Kittles Furniture
on sale. The case that the TV is sitting on was only $99 because the
other half of it was missing.
The legs under the organ table were part of a table that I
bought at a garage sale in Fishers. I cut the table top on and
angle to create the corner desk in the bedroom and the two left
over legs went on to become the organ stand. $20 plus paint and
labor and we had two nice pieces of furniture.
Michelle once again did her magic on the window
valances creating a unique design from left over material she
had from another project. There were no doors on the closet in
the guest bedroom and I was able to pick them up at Lowes
for $19 each. They had slight damage but were very easy to
fix.
The piece of "Cube" furniture was made from scratch out in
the garage. It was Michelle's idea to make this because of the
limited space in the bedroom.
The headboard with the pull down doors was also made from
scratch out in the garage. This took a good deal more time than
the Cube to build, mainly because of the doors and all the wood
routing that went into making them. The bed frame was made out
of 2x6 pine lumber and I used 1x3 slats for the box spring to
lay on.
This site is still far from done and I will be working on it from time to
time. Anyway, it should give you some idea of what has been going
on for the past year.
